Student Drawings & Paintings

My drawing skills are not as strong as my conceptual skills — my left and right brain constantly struggle for dominance, and Lefty usually wins. But I have also encountered surprising results when I make a solid effort. Below are some drawings and paintings I created in art school.

Time Warp Project

An example of my PhotoShop skills, this photograph from a wedding was manipulated to include the couple at the far right twice. The couple to their left is the same couple, 30 years earlier — carefully lifted from their own wedding reception photo.

Lamp Rendering

Using Illustrator only, I created a photorealistic image of a lamp found in a popular housewares catalog.

Clark Art Institute: Featured Objects Videos

I had the unique opportunity to intern for about a year at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts. There, I collaborated with the Curator of Education, videotaping his engaging 'gallery talks' with a variety of student groups visiting the museum. I used Adobe Premiere to edit these videos, reducing the length of the 'talks' so they would be appropriate for use on the web. The purpose of these videos was to encourage local schools to take advantage of the educational opportunities at the museum.

Below are the paintings for which I produced these educational videos for The Clark, along with the links to download these videos. The images and video links below (in hi-bandwidth wmv format) are from the museum's website.
